"When the Story Changes: Writing Through the Unexpected Turns of Caregiving"
A Two-Part Experiential Workshop with Stacie Vanags
Caregiving rarely follows the path we imagined. Just when we think we've found our footing, something shifts — a new diagnosis, a changing prognosis, a door we didn't expect to walk through. And yet, even in the uncertainty, there is story. There is meaning. There is you.
When the Story Changes is a two-part experiential workshop designed for caregivers who are navigating the unexpected — and looking for a grounded, creative space to process what they're carrying.
Through guided writing, reflective storytelling, and nature-inspired practice, facilitator and caregiver Stacie Vanags will lead participants through an intimate exploration of the emotional landscape of caregiving — the love, the exhaustion, the grief, the resilience, and the quiet moments of unexpected beauty that often go unnamed.
Stacie doesn't speak about caregiving from the outside. She lives it. And she brings both her professional expertise and her personal experience to create a space that is honest, tender, and deeply supportive.
You'll be invited to:
Write and reflect on your own caregiving story — without pressure, without performance
Explore the symbolism of nature and flowers as mirrors for your inner experience
Find language for feelings that have been hard to name
Connect with a community of others walking similar paths
Leave with something you created — and something you discovered
Session Dates:
Part One: Wednesday, April 8 | 7:00 PM ET
Part Two: Wednesday, April 15 | 7:00 PM ET
This workshop is designed as a two-part experience. Attending both sessions is encouraged to receive the full arc of the journey.
