Our Lineage

Tending the Sacred continues the work for the Theosophical Society in Boston—not as preservation, but as reimagining. We hold the essence of its mission while actively reviewing its frameworks, language, and assumptions in light of the world we now inhabit.

A Lineage, Reimagined

Founded in 1875, the Theosophical Society was created to explore the common ground between spiritual traditions, science, and philosophy. Its founders—Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, Henry S. Olcott, and William Q. Judge—sought to awaken a deeper understanding of human potential and universal connection beyond religious or national boundaries. We honor the boldness of the vision. We also recognize the limitations of the cultural lens through which it emerged.

Spiritual practice aligned with the quantum age

There is no religion higher than truth."

–Motto of the Theosophical Society

This lineage lives wherever people gather in sincerity and wonder – to learn, to listen, and to live as expressions of the One Life made visible.
